Both Kirk and Janel travel around the US to personally select each stone they feature in their store. Their selections include top quality rocks, gems, minerals, geodes, crystals, and jewelry. Janel herself custom makes stone earrings, pendants, and chakra bracelets under the “Whoa Nellee!” brand.

Calling their store “Hound Dog” was an homage to both the rockhounds that frequent their store, as well as to their beloved basset hounds, a breed of dog which they have frequently owned since the beginning of their marriage (they’ve had six basset hound friends so far!). As hands-on owners, Kirk and Janel are in the store every day, so they hope to see you soon!
