2024 Year in Review

2024 Year in Review

2024 was a year of building connections, giving back, and continuing to grow.

As we reflect on the past year, we are proud of the ways we were able to support meaningful organizations, share our story, and strengthen both local and global partnerships. Here are some of the highlights:

Giving Back to Our Communities

Our commitment to supporting causes close to our heart continued throughout the year. Through jewelry donations and partnerships, we contributed to fundraising efforts and community outreach with organizations making a real difference:

The Friends of the Earth, Sea & Space Center  in Dover, NH, received a signature piece from our Emerge collection, helping support environmental education initiatives.

New Hampshire SPCA in Stratham, NH, benefited from our jewelry donations, aiding their rescue and rehabilitation efforts for animals statewide.

Girls, Inc. of NH received jewelry from our Emerge collection, representing empowerment and inspiring young women to be strong, smart, and bold.

Massachusetts Audubon Joppa Flats Education Center was supported with a jewelry donation to help fund nature education and conservation programs.

The Center for Wildlife in Cape Neddick, ME, received support for their vital wildlife rehabilitation and educational programs.

Wells Reserve at Laudholm Farm in Wells, ME, benefited from jewelry donations supporting their estuarine habitat preservation and research efforts.

The Service Dog Project in Ipswich, MA, received jewelry donations supporting their mission to train Great Danes as service animals for those with mobility challenges.

Veterans Count NH was honored with our support, helping them provide emergency assistance and services to veterans in need.

The Travis Mills Foundation benefited from our contribution, supporting recalibrated veterans and their families at their retreat in Maine.

The Junior League of Boston was supported through jewelry donations for their efforts in developing female leaders and creating positive community impact.

Sharing Our Story in the Media

In addition to giving back, we had opportunities to share the story behind Nugent Jewelry:

WHOM Radio Interview: Founder and CEO, Marc Nugent, was featured on WHOM radio out of Portland, ME, where he spoke about the company’s New Hampshire roots, family beginnings, partnerships with local retailers, and the artisans who craft our jewelry.

Nugent Jewelry Shares Expertise: Members of the Nugent Jewelry team were recently asked to talk about their successful export strategy as part of the New Hampshire Small Business Development Center’s (SBDC) Export Accelerator Workshop graduation ceremony on August 14, 2024. The event was well attended, with Senator Jeanne Shaheen and Liz Gray, state director of the SBDC, among those present. Senator Shaheen shared that she and her husband, Bill, started their married life running a jewelry and leather shop in York, Maine.

Looking Ahead

As we look forward to 2025 and beyond, our goals remain clear: continue releasing thoughtfully designed products, deepen our impact through charitable partnerships, and share stories that celebrate the craftsmanship and care behind every Nugent piece.

We invite you to follow along with our journey, as we continue to grow, give back, and connect.
