When Charlene Riedel opened her store in Downtown Port Washington in mid-August 2017, her goal was to help her community be well. Drawing on her long career in helping others, Charlene wanted to create a place that makes people feel calm and relaxed. Customers have remarked that they feel good vibes and a peacefulness descend on them the minute they walk through the door.

The shop is run by Charlene, her husband, their sons, mom, her sister, and friends; it’s a true family affair! She named her shop “Eclectic Avenue”, as you never know what you will find when you visit.

The beloved shop features the work of local artists, upcycled and vintage items, jewelry, and crystals, as well as spiritual and metaphysical items.

It also provides a place to purchase natural and spiritual alternatives to conventional therapies, such as natural bath and body products, and essential oils. Eclectic Avenue also stocks merchandise for sacred rituals such as healing crystals, oracle cards, and books as well as sage, oil blends, and herbs. The store’s footprint expanded in late 2021, and they are planning to provide classes as well as a offer a gathering place to connect with others.
